Creative kids will learn classic art techniques and cool theories, which they'll use to create their own masterpieces. This hands-on class will have them exploring drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and more. Children will draw, paint, and build their favorite creatures while learning how artists use simple shapes, bright colors, and fun materials to express personality and movement. Each week, we’ll meet an inspiring artist whose work turns animals into masterpieces: ✨ Week 1(Dec 7th, 2025): Charley Harper – Minimalist Animal Drawings (2D) Main Concept: Simplification, stylization, nature Technical Skills: Breaking down forms, clean line work, minimal color use ✨ Week 2(Dec 14th, 2025): Laurel Burch – Vibrant Cat Paintings (2D) Main Concept: Pattern, color, fantasy Technical Skills: Pattern design, color layering, stylized drawing ✨ Week 3(Dec 21st, 2025): Deborah Butterfield – Horse Sculptures from Found Materials (3D) Main Concept: Assemblage, animal form, texture Technical Skills: Constructing armatures, attaching materials, proportion ✨ Week 4(Dec 28th, 2025): Romero Britto – Pop Art Animal Portraits (2D) Main Concept: Pop art, joy, bold design Technical Skills: Outlining, pattern filling, color blocking
